Star Wars Food

We've come up with all sorts of ideas for the Star Wars Food. So much that I think we'll have a whole week of it before heading off to another country. (Forgive us the indulgence we did sort of miss out on a full blow out Christmas).

Our Empire Eaterie we will have all sorts of Tatooine Treats. Not convinced we'll be making all of these but we'll give it a go...

Galactic Ginger Jam
Ewok Eggs
Padme Amidala's Apple Puff Pies
Jango Fetta Pies
Chewbacca's Chicken and Cous Cous
Chewie's Chocolate Cakes
Yoda's Yogurt Cake
Tatooine Trifle
Hoth Hash or Hoth Hot Pot
Naboo Nuggets
Storm Trooper Souper
Boba Fett Berry Breakfast
Luke's Lentils with Han Solo Jamon
Galaxy Granola
Vader Veg Pizza
Bounty Hunter Brunch
Obi Oat Cakes
Dark Side Sundaes
Jedi Juice

and my favourite of all ... Yoda's Yorkie Puds with Han Solo Stuffing, Padme's Pea Puree and Galactic Gravy...

Back later with what we make today... We're still in discussions as to what will take priority. It's like the Jedi High Counsel no less.

Oh my god Amanda - you've tapped into the (barely) latent Star Wars nerd in me. I love this - please please please post pictures. I'd prefer to see at least one person dressed in character in the shots, though (you as Leia...?).

Hello! I'm a new reader, loving it already (probably due to all the Star Wars references *lol*).

I have to ask, because bad jokes are impossible to resist: will the Jedi Juice be made from real Jedis?

This is hilarious...you are sounding like a friend of mine who cut his son's PB&J sandwich into a star fighter the other day :)

Hi Tanna, thank you, we're having a lot of fun with it already.

Hi Annemarie, you'd get on famously with the boys. If I could pull off the Princess Leia thing I'd do it, sadly I know I couldn't. There will definitely be some pics though.

Hi Sophie, thanks for leaving a comment. I'm glad you're enjoying it so far. We must be on the same wavelength as the thought crossed my mind about the jedi juice, I don't know any real ones...

Hi CC, I think I'm losing the plot slightly more than normal. I'll put it down to all the tablets.

So far we've had Naboo Nuggets, made Galactic Ginger Jam and while I type Hubby is cooking the Chewbacca Chicken and Cous Cous. Thank you for your comments.

Padma's peas????

Hi Pig,
The back is still extremely painful but I have to get on with it or I'm going to be up **** creek without a paddle. In-laws go back to Spain on Tuesday. I'm able to do things for short periods of time, even then I have to keep pausing half way through. The drugs are making me feel a bit spaced out - some people I'm told actually like this but it makes me feel irritated and grumpy. I'm trying to be good mummy, good wife, not sure I'm an absolute delight to be around at the moment though!

Hope you're all well and had a good New Year.

O! my goodness - these are great ... I'll have to show my husband (the biggest Star Wars fan I know), then he'll ask me to cook them ;) Happy New Year to you!

Hi Baking Soda, The dark side is gooood - me like cookies!

Hi Nora, the council was in recess for a day while Mummy rested. Who was I trying to kid that I could get straight back into cooking every day.

Hi Truffle, thank you. I think there has to be a little madness somewhere though, I think you'd agree.

Hi Joey, thank you, that was a lovely thing to read!

Hi Deboarah, I've tried not to go over the top with the theme thing. I couldn't bear it if I had to make food look like star wars characters or animals, etc every day to get them to eat. So, in my mind it's better to think of dishes and then get everyone thinking to create the name.

Hi Mango Power Girl, Thanks you. Happy New Year to you too and thanks for stopping by.

Thank you for your comments.
