The Garlic and Star hanging on the Housekeepers Cupboard

The Kitchen Wardrobe

The chillies, grown in our own garden this year.

The hanging wall unit, bagged on e-bay for £20.00,
which houses a few of our lovely white things (and a touch of blue).

I like your kitchen wardrobe! I wish I had one to hang all pots in there instead of stacking them in the drawer....

Have a good day, Margot

I've got a kitchen wardrobe, too, off eBay. And I've got the same jug shaped saucepan, which is one of my favourites. Love your glazed cupboard, great bargain. And the star and garlic, and ...

oh oh, love the chillis! and the garlic! And aren't your cupboards NEAT? I do hope you tidied them for the photo shoot. BTW, what is that strange noise I hear when I come to visit your blog?!

Hi Margot, thank you, it was a fairly recent purchase and we plan to put shelves in the lower part of it.

Hi Deborah, so do I!!

Hi Joanna, thank you, when I knew we'd bought this place two years ago I bought a lot of old furniture, from e-bay and salvage yards, some of it riddled with woodworm which took me hours of work to get rid of (the housekeepers cupboard in particular). The pan you talk of is a Stellar one and was bought for me as part of a set when I first moved out of home. They've been such good pans!

Hi Pig, thank you, the cupboards are almost always neat (a bit OCD about that) but the rest of the house, as in what you see when you walk in, is a disgrace, untidy, random piles of this and that everywhere. I wonder what a pyshciatrist would make of that?

The strange (and rather irritating) noise is the counter for the amount of people who sign up to Hugh F-W's chicken out campaign (top right of the blog). Thankfully Aidan Brooks asked for one which only makes a noise at the start or otherwise it made a noise every single time someone signed up, which is every few seconds.

Thank you for your comments.

I love seeing inside someone's kitchen - it says so much about a person. I love the little star and garlic (and the kitchen wardrobe - I love even the thought of that one!). It reminds me of home :)

Lovely! I'm so impressed that you grew those chilies.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a note. You might have noticed that I'm all about peanut butter and chocolate. :-) I hope the cookies turn out well for you.

Gosh Amanda what a fun kitchen. It is really wonderful to have some things in the kitchen that bring joy! Sometimes it's such a small thing and then some times it's bigger but what really matters is that it makes me smile while I'm cooking. Thanks for the peek into your kitchen.

I have a similar kitchen wardrobe too! For many years it was used by my mother to store paint and junk in a shed but I always loved it and said I wanted it when I got a big enough kitchen. I use mine for all my food storage. So much nicer than conventional MFI or B&Q kitchen cupboards.

Oh Amanda, your kitchen is so pretty. I love the kitchen wardrobe! The chillies look so munchable.

Love the cupboard too - Ebay is wonderful for bargains.

Hi Michelle, so funny - I loved the thought of a kitchen wardrobe too.

Hi Lynn, thank you, Ill let you know when we've made them.

Hi Tanna, I'm right with you on that!

Hi CC, you're welcome, thank you.

Hi Tanya, you're so right. I love old things! We do have some normal cupboards, they were from IKEA.

Hi Fiona, thank you, maybe you'll see it for real one day.

Thank you for your comments.
