The elusive perfect life...

Whilst I might sometimes feel that our life is far from perfect, wading through the quagmire of crappola. I should stop, smell the flowers and realise, remind myself even, that our life is indeed perfect.

The boys ate leftover chorizo and wild mushroom risotto, added to which I cooked them a beautiful sirloin steak to share, 2 mins each side and then cut into strips...

I'm now making bunting out of old clothes, much better that it can come out for every celebration, seen and remembered, instead of packed in tissue and kept in the attic room... THIS IS A GOOD TIP!

Sorry I've been such a bad blogger recently, there's a lot going on... Next week I'm going to allow myself time to read what you've all been up to. Having taken a sneaky peak today I know I'm going to have to set aside a good few hours. Big loves to you all! xxxx

Hey no apologies necessary, we all have times when life is hectic and little time left for other things like blogging. Take care now :0)

BUNTING! How bloody inspirational!!! I LOVE the bunting idea. Isn't it a bit tricky doing the triangle bits tho? Do you hem? or leave to gaily fray? I bet you hem. I'm going to have to hem aren't i? I was just toying with making reuseable shopping bags out of old clothes, but i prefer the bunting idea. Off to cut up my kids favourite clothes....

and thank-you for the slightly drunken comment in my kitchen, i do so love it when other people blog under the influence! ooo, we could start a whole new 'award' plague, 'I blogged when i was pissed'...i'll fire up photoshop and get right on it.

and in case you're wondering, 11am on sunday and i'm not pissed at all.

;-)
have a happy day,

Thanks Rosie. xx

Ah Pig, how I have missed you! You make me giggle. As for hemming... is it a bit like blogging under the influence, possibly not such a good idea...

Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for reminding me, Amanda. Sometimes I'm so busy from morning until late night that I forget to notice I'm living somewhere really beautiful and doing a job that I love. Have a great day!

Nice to hear from you Amanda. Sometimes life just happens and gets in the way of doing fun stuff, like blogging. Love the bunting tip by the way. Sounds like you have been having a great time just enjoying your family and life together!

I've been popping in and out, good to see you are all ok.

It's so easy to miss the good moments, a good reminder to stop and see the life that is happening :)

I think many of us have stopped to smell the roses some! Enjoy your down time!

Can definitely relate to that. My blog has been my outlet for focusing on the positive but there has been a whole heap of crappola since before Christmas. Hope you're coming out of it now.

p.s - my Mum had bought bunting for my 30th birthday last week and it has made me want to learn to make it so I have some for all future parties.

Amanda - 'wading through the quagmire of crappola' - this is the statement of the year! Hope life is good.

Cheers

Join the club of bad bloggers :) I've been horrible this year!

Have to say, that risotto sounds divine to me...and the bunting tip, that's brilliant!

I have become a bad blogger too. But it's almost kind of liberating in a way. I control my blog, my blog does not control me.

I admire people who actually DO things like making bunting out of old clothes. I am the kind of person who THINKS about doing these things. End of effort. Sigh!!

Welcome back! It can be hard keeping up with your blogging life when life gets busy. I've had the same problem, but I'm getting better :) Thanks for the update!

'Tis difficult sometimes finding the time to blog - it's nice to read your blog posts when you have time to post Amanda.

Not sure if there ever were lazy days of summer, but I suspect not. There ARE roses to smell at this time of year (and stargazer lilies!) and children to enjoy...blogging can always come later. Thanks for the reminder to enjoy what we have!
