Rescue Puppies... and some Skate Wings

Tinks

The newest member of our family has arrived. She's gorgeous, 7 weeks old, very laid back, a tiny little bit stubborn, slept right through the night without a peep last night (yippeeee!). Seems to hit the paper more than the floor. Her mum is a rescue Tibetan Spaniel, father unknown. She is very, very much loved.

On the food front I cooked some Skate Wings last week. First I put some cornmeal on a plate and sprinkled with salt and pepper. Dipped the skate wings in the cornmeal, both sides and then fried in oil and butter for 4 minutes on each side. Served with sliced potatoes, onions, garlic and green pepper that was cooked in olive oil in the oven for about 45 minutes. Absolutely delicious!

Hi Karin, hitting paper is definitely good!! tee hee!

Hi Tanna, the dinner was good the puppy is better.

Hi Cynthia, she's a tiny bit stubborn but definitely adorable.

Hi Marie, it's heart breaking when you start looking through all the rescue sites.

Hi Sylvie, cute, cuddly codfish is what she's been called by the children when misbehaving and jumping up trying to nip them. It's all the Peter Pan stuff.

Hi Fiona, we'll treasure her forever.

Hi Kelly-Jane, I'm quite surprised I didn't come away with more than one but I think I'd have gotten into a lot of trouble with lovely hubs, who despite his protests seems to love her just as much as we do.

Hi Freya, long time no speak. She's just the best puppy. If we had a huge garden then I'd definitely want to help more rescue dogs.

Thank you all for your comments.
